A movie’s concept or idea is its most important factor for success. Today you will learn how to identify the concept of your film and how to formulate it in a clear, concise way. After all, it is important that people understand the story you want to tell.
Today we focus on the key components of the concept, which are also the key components of your story:
1. a main character
2. a major event
3. a (visible) goal
4. (an) opposing force(s)
After looking at the individual components of the concept, tomorrow we’ll look at how you can learn to express the concept in a clear and concise way, by writing a logline.
